Little fat Robin was exceptionally pleased with her Robin jumper.
What other kind of jumper would anyone want to wear at Christmas?
In the glow of sunset on Christmas eve Comet revealed this year’s jumper to Father Christmas.
And, whilst Santa was flattered, he had to muster up all his diplomacy, for he is a kind man, to say how much of a lovely tribute it was to him.
Comet knew it was an awful jumper and giggled to himself as he watched the boss struggle to come up with a compliment.
He did this every year.
Peter, the monkey Captain’s brother, really loves the jumper that Captain stitched for him whilst out on the wild seas. Every Christmas he puts it on, toasts the Captain and thinks about where his adventures could have taken him this year.
Unlike the Captain Peter get violently sick at sea so remains in the jungle looking for his own adventures from tree to tree.
And finally Father Christmas stood up, amongst the bluster, and pointed, saying,
“Mr Arctic Fox will you be my right hand creature for Christmas?”
Mr Fox gasped with surprise and replied, “Of course sir, I’d be honoured.”
There was a short pause and then a massive cheer from all the other woodland creatures except Penguin and Polar Bear, who were exceptionally miffed to say the least.
The arctic Mole leapt up in joy. “hurrah for Fox. What an amazing chap!” he cried.
